This is vintage T-Shirt sourced in Great Britain and it has never been worn. Originally made in Hong Kong between 1969 & 1972, these pieces have been sitting in their original packaging in a forgotten storeroom for almost 50 years. They are completely box fresh - not even a hint of a musty odour.
The illustration on this little cotton t-shirt is exquisite and very typical of its era. In our view, the 60s and 70s were the heyday of Children's illustration- and this playful, bright pied piper is no exception.
It's tempting to put these vintage treasures on the wall or in a museum as they are amazing objects, so reminiscent of the time they were made, but they really need to be worn and enjoyed.
Buying locally-sourced vintage or second hand is absolutely the best choice we can make when it comes to buying clothing for our kids in terms of sustainability, alongside making sure we wash responsibly, mend and buy less. We applaud you lovers of vintage!
